Our lab is located at the School of Pharmacy, University of Louisiana at Monroe, directed by Dr. Matthaiolampakis.
We are interested in using nanomedicine to promote scientific knowledge in cancer treatment. Our group's research integrates nanotechnology, imaging science, gene therapy to answer problems in cancer, inflammation and brain associated diseases.
We expand to mechanistic studies of compounds and nucleic acids, for gene regulation and treatment on a panel of diseases, and using Pharmaceutical Sciences we aim to apply drug delivery methodology and techniques to develop innovative solutions.
While targeted delivery is steadily being recognized as a key ingredient for successfully delivering molecules to the desired tissue and cell, the possible applications have exponentially increased.
